The online space is busy, and when you’re building your presence online, it starts with creating those conversations through your content, knowing what you want to achieve with your content (sales, website taps, DM’s), and having a strategy that aligns with your brand values.
After transitioning into social media management while on maternity leave, I’ve had the privilege of working with restaurants, local boutiques, real estate teams, and e-commerce shops. Still, one thing is always at the forefront of any content created -> COMMUNITY and their specific goals.
I was SO lucky growing up because my parents gave me the space to do what made me happy without the pressure of having to do the things society tells us to do. Like, going to college or university right away. And no, this isn't a PSA saying don't waste your time with schooling; more saying I wasn't a scholar in the traditional sense as I was more drawn towards travelling and seeing the world; learning with life experience. While I did always worry, "what the heck am I supposed to do?" I trusted the universe would work it out for me. And well, it 100% did!
Laziness and complainers. I like to work with clients + businesses that want to take action and get it done! NO time for complainers.
I LOVE to travel. One of my favourite places I visited was south east Asia. The best food, the people are so loving, and I love the beach life.
FAMILY. I grew up in a loving household with my mom, dad + sisters. And now have it with my own partner Geoff and son Ethan.
I love a good hazy pale ale! If I'm out for a night on the town it is always a vodka soda with two limes or I might mix in a margarita along the way.
Some days I'm jamming out to Backstreet Boys and some days I'm listening to Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver, The Killers or Country music.
To be honest, I'm not that much a reader, but I love to read when I’m travelling.. Usually something fluffy like Danielle Steele, lol.
I’m such a classic Vancouverite because I could eat SUSHI every day if I had to. Anytime we leave town, the first thing I do is order sushi.
Anything reality and I’m in. Seriously Housewives, Vanderpump Rules, Southern Charm, Summer House. It’s 100% my guilty pleasure.
The social media landscape has changed in the last few years with the rise of short-form videos. Have you jumped on board, or are you unsure even where to start? That's where we come in. Sarah joined TikTok at the end of 2019 because she knew it would be the next big thing, then surprise, Instagram Reels showed up, YouTube shorts, Pinterest Ideas pins and probably some we aren't even mentioning. As you can see from that list, we can't ignore short-form videos anymore when creating a social media strategy. And spoiler, if you're overwhelmed by reading this blurb, you're not alone! Double spoiler we can hep you with all of the above. You're in the right place:)
